Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most versatile actors that Bollywood has seen in the recent years. From acting to singing to hosting, Ayushmann has excelled it all in his quirky style.

Here is the journey of this ordinary Chandigarh boy who has now become one of the most sought after face in Bollywood.


1. Started with MTV Roadies

For those who do not know, Ayushmann was the winner of the reality show Roadies Season 2. His confidence, simplicity and consistent performance impressed the judges and the viewers, crowning him the winner of the show!

2. RJ at BIG FM

After winning Roadies, he took some time to enter the entertainment industry, finished his graduation and then worked as a RJ at BIG FM in Delhi. He hosted the show 'Big Chai - Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann' which got him The Young Achievers Award in 2007!


3. VJ in MTV

After Big FM, Ayushmann became quite popular, he then went to Mumbai and worked as a VJ in MTV. The show helped him discover his quirky side and polish his in-built humour. The show made him one of the prominent faces that the youth connected to!


4. Moving towards hosting awards and shows

It was because of his youth-connecting approach and sense of humour that he was approached to host various reality shows like 'India's Got Talent' and award shows such as 'IIFA'  . His spontaneity made him a successful host as well, so much so that at one point of time he was all over the TV, holding mikes and
cracking people up with his smile and undeniable talent!


5. First step in Bollywood- Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor made this Punjabi guy the heart throb of the nation! The director of the movie, Shoojit Sircar was looking for a fresh, innocent face with a whack and Ayushmann seemed to have possessed it thoroughly by doing so much in so little time, that it was a perfect fit!


Ayushmann also made his singing debut with this movie, his song ‘Pani Da Rang’ was topping the chartbusters and became an instant hit! He later sung in many other movies and also recorded a Punjabi song ‘Mitti Di Khushboo’.



6. Proving his acting skills

Though people loved him doing comedy and after Vicky Donor, they wanted to see more of it, the actor however did not go for the same script and experimented with his roles in movies. From 'Nautanki Saala' to 'Hawaizada', we saw our talented star take risk with script and his character, proving his potential as an actor. He then played played the role of a dreamy, middle class, vulnerable Haridwar-based man in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'. Ayushmann proved his ability to carry offbeat, unique roles beautifully with yet another film. The Indian Film Festival of Russia for his stellar act has honoured Ayushmann recently!
