August 19 is observed as the World Photography Day. It originated after the invention of the Daguerreotype photographic processes, developed by Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre in 1837. But on August 19, 1839, the French government announced the invention as the first practical gift to the world. In a way this was the true beginning of the World Photography Day. The day is all about celebrating photography which has revolutionized the way we see the world. Today we can visit places without leaving our homes; we can share memories with photographs across the globe in seconds, imagine the time when photography didn’t exist!
Photography surrounds us in every moment and yet, we often don't realize how powerful the images we capture every day can be. A lot of us think that a photograph is beautiful only when taken with some high quality camera or a DSLR, but it’s not true. All you need is a good study of light, composition and an understanding of your own equipment, even if you know nothing about photography, a picture clicked by you captures a moment and has the capability of making you experience that moment again. Pictures hold memories that one cherishes time and again, the beauty of a picture never fades.
The best way to create some everlasting memories is photographs, visit new places, explore more, click new pictures.
