In a recent development, the Supreme Court of India announced that the acid attack victims will get free treatment in all the hospitals in Delhi, both government and private. This will be a huge help for the women who undergo acid attacks because the treatment they go through is recurring and costly. The governement doesn't want these women to be held back from good treatement because of lack of finances. In this regard, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal held a meeting with deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and health minister Satyendar Jain, so that the promises made by the government do not remain unfulfilled.
Hair Stylist Sapna Moti Bhavnani appreciated the move saying, "This is unfortunately only in Delhi ATM. But any positive move is appreciated. Thank you Supreme Court. Can we also not use the word "victims" in future articles?"
